"GRACEVINE" Newsletter - September 2002

Greetings in Jesus Name!

I greet you with much rejoicing, and am reminded of the following verse Ps. 118:25 " ....Oh Lord ..... grant us success".

I would like to take this opportunity to very briefly share with you about how God granted us success within Anglo Africa! During August, a team from our Regional Office and also from the USA, experienced a most exciting trip to Swaziland and Mozambique (as mentioned in my previous communication to you) where we held Pastor's conferences in both nations.

I am including some feedback we received in our office from a few of the team members, and am sure that as you read these comments about their visit to our Anglo Africa Region, you too will 'catch a glimpse' of what God is doing through our national leaders, their workers and pioneer missionaries.

To every person who contributed towards the success of this trip, and very importantly to those who prayed for us and with us while we were away, we salute you. We believe that each participant present at these two conferences will be instrumental in the training and mobilizing of many other leaders and workers in their respective nations.

Richard Smith, Tennessee (US Team Leader)
Each time that we team in ministry, Every Home for Christ's outreach expands, souls are won to the Kingdom of God, and I am renewed in my determination to reach the world! The teaching, preaching, singing, praying, testifying and ministering of the USA team and the Anglo Africa team were anointed and blessed of the Lord. When Forest Hill Community Church's $5500.00 gift towards conducting the conferences in Swaziland and Mozambique was $9.50 more than was needed, I saw God's hand! Being with the Swaziland Pastors and church leaders when they committed themselves to the Every Home for Christ program strengthened your work and supported the team's efforts. I praise God that I call you my brother, that we share the Every Home for Christ vision to reach the world with the Gospel, and that the joy of the Lord is our strength!

I did not think last year's trip to Ghana and Liberia could be topped. I was wrong. The Lord topped it with this year's trip to Swaziland and Mozambique. I recall a very special time of prayer and worship as the Lord moved upon our hearts for Swaziland. I also remember going to a school one afternoon with Pete, Addie, and Connie and watching as Pete preached using the "Heart of Man" chart and the Holy Spirit brought hundreds of children into the family of God. I was allowed to share the same message using the same tool with several other people in a nearby village and saw all but one receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. I will not forget either of the churches, one in Mbabane and the other in Maputo, where we worshipped and praised and preached and how we were so warmly received and honored by our African brothers and sisters. Again, thank you to you and Adriana for the wonderful meal in your home and for your hospitality. Please thank Jerry and Nicky for their help, their assistance and kindness and their efforts to make our visit to South Africa so enjoyable and memorable. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE!

Pastor Bob Geabhart, Forest Hill Community Church, Tennessee
Thanks for the great experience in Africa. It was life changing for me. I will forever be changed. I'm in fact having to readjust to America and digest what I've experienced. The ministry of Every Home for Christ is certainly one of the organizations God is using today to reach people with the good news of Jesus Christ. In one 24 hour period I witnessed over 500 people pray the prayer of salvation. The people of South Africa, Swaziland and Mozambique now have a part of my heart. I will forever be changed by my experience in Africa.

Pastor James Smith, New York
It was a God appointed privilege to have spent this time with you and to have begun to have built a relationship with all of you. I do believe that God did a work in Swaziland and Mozambique, and I too believe that we can all work together to reach every home for Christ.
Thank you Hennie for your humble leadership and your relentless vision to do the work of the Lord. It was very easy to follow such a leader as you. I feel a large part of my heart is in Africa. I was so encouraged by seeing the work that all of you are doing out of your office in South Africa; it has refreshed my vision.

"And God is able to make all grace abound toward you that you always having all sufficiency in all things have an ABUNDANCE FOR EVERY GOOD WORK" 2 Corinthians 9:8

ANGLO AFRICA HARVEST REPORT - JULY 2002
Number of people reached with the Gospel (homes visited): 202,154
Number of pieces of literature distributed: 202,475
Number of people who viewed a "Heart of Man" presentation: 140,010
Responses to the Gospel: 77,303
Christ Groups (small churches) formed: 216
Churches/Groups involved: 1,070

These July statistics made our office recall a daily reading this week: In the world of sports, Michael Jordan's unbelievable intensity, his focus, his competitiveness, his drive to win was so powerful, that it lifted all his teammates to a higher level. One Christ-follower who would match Michael Jordan's intensity that he had for basketball, was the Apostle Paul. He said "This one thing I do, I press towards the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus". "When I run a race, I do so to win". Paul did not approach life, or his goal, in an accidental way. He was intentional, focused and totally committed to that in which he believed! There was a sense of urgency, passion and zeal that reflected in every action of his life. Through Paul, we are stirred to live with greater intention in our lives. Run this race to complete it with honor. Fight this fight to truly win.

In sharing this, we say to our leaders, workers and pioneer missionaries and partners: "We thank you for being men of focus, commitment and for having a sense of urgency to reach Anglo-Africa with zeal and passion. Your July 2002 statistics are a reflection of your drive to win!"

REPORTING PRIZE : JULY 2002
Our reporting prize for July is awarded to Julio Mutemba, our National Leader for Mozambique. Thank you Julio, for moving further and faster, along with your team, regardless of the challenges you face. Thank you for being a good steward of what has been entrusted to you, and for standing strong to fulfill His purposes and plans for your life.
